NUVEX Toilet Partition Cost Benefits

NUVEX® Saniboard Benefits, Life Cycle Cost and “Womb to Tomb Management”

NUVEX® is a plastic polymer product used predominantly for toilet cubicle partitioning, wet area environments or high traffic applications. It has had proven success throughout the United States for over 15 years and has been used in some of America’s most famous buildings including Madison Square Garden in New York and has recently been introduced to Australia by Dotmar. NUVEX® toilet partitions are the most cost effective toilet partition in the market for many reasons which include initial product costs, graffiti resistance, water and chemical resistance & impact resistance. NUVEX® also has the added benefits of zero delamination & zero maintenance requirements which when combined contribute to a lower life cycle cost.

NUVEX® is also 100% recyclable and contains up to 70% recycled material. This is why NUVEX® has been sought after from some of the biggest companies in Australia which include Qantas and the Crown Casino, as well as schools throughout Australia including Caulfield Grammar School and the Sydney Catholic Education Office.

The initial cost of NUVEX® is comparable to that of other toilet partitioning systems offered in the market, though NUVEX® offers much more in terms of life cycle cost. The first example of this is graffiti resistance. NUVEX® is resistant to pen, pencil, paint and permanent markers all of which can be cleaned of with a standard solvent (e.g. Acetone) within seconds. This saves time & cleaning costs and will not damage the NUVEX® material. Visit Dotmar at WWW.YOUTUBE.COM to see how easy this works. Simply type “Dotmar NUVEX®” and watch the brief video of graffiti removal.

Further benefits of NUVEX®, are its chemical and water resistance. NUVEX® is impervious to water and chemicals which provide the end user with a prolonged life span. When discussing this issue with several Cleaning Contractors who maintain public areas, they found one the biggest problems with graffiti is the solvents used to remove it from other toilet partition materials. Current solvents affect the surface leaving it to be either repainted or replaced.

Water resistance is also a key attribute of NUVEX®, many toilet blocks are hosed for cleaning NUVEX® is a monolithic product (it is extruded into one solid piece), it will never absorb water which causes swelling, smells, rot, mould & or mildew. The Catholic Education Office in Sydney has informed us that water damage to toilet partitions from cleaners hosing causes the partitions to get weak, swell and eventually lead to early replacement.

NUVEX® is virtually maintenance free, unlike other partitions in the market. NUVEX® is solid colour throughout the thickness of the material. This removes the temptation for destruction and vandalism that is commonly found throughout most high traffic public areas. Due to the solid colour throughout, the material never requires painting …..Ever.

Cheltenham High School has found that since the installation of the partitions the children at the school have be unable to damage the surface. The school was spending up to and including $1200 per month on maintenance on the toilet partitions which included repairs, painting and removal of graffiti. With NUVEX® the time taken for maintenance and the cost of the solvents used to clean the product are minimal and would save schools a great deal in terms of lifecycles costs.

NUVEX® is also a 100% recyclable material and contains from 20% to 70% recycled material dependant on colour. Dotmar offers a ‘womb to tomb’ recycling policy in addition to a 15 year material warranty. Once NUVEX® has reached the end of its intended use it can be returned to Dotmar and recycled as per our recycling policy. (A copy of the recycling policy is available on request).
